With Spring well underway, it’s no surprise that some of us have started our spring cleaning. I, too, have somewhat begun the task of cleaning out my closet and donating my once loved pieces. It’s not always easy, but I do love an organized closet. Throughout the years I’ve tried to collect more versatile pieces so that my capsule isn’t full of eclectic items that hardly end up matching with anything at all – which is what my high school closet used to look like.
One of my new favorite items is this two-piece look floral outfit. I typically have a weak spot for florals, no matter which time of year it is, so I knew I had to have this look as soon as I saw it. Embroidered florals are making their way into spring pieces this year, accenting them with delicate and intricate details.
The sheer black fabric on this two piece outfit make it the perfect look for date night or a night out with girlfriends, especially once the weather starts to warm up. The best part about this outfit is that you get them together and you can mix and match with anything else in your closet. For example, the skirt can be paired with a different top for a separate occasion or if you’d want to make it a little more work appropriate. A blouse with bell sleeves would make an outfit appropriate for brunch on a Sunday.
The cropped top is a little more difficult to pull off with another item, unless you have other high-waisted pieces in your wardrobe capsule. Some high-waisted destroyed or black denim would complete a look perfect for a rock concert or music festival. It is festival season after all. If you have any high-waisted skirts, try pairing them with this sheer floral crop top for another flirty look this spring and summer.
Overall, two-pieces are perfect for a versatile wardrobe capsule. You can wear the pieces together or mix and match for separate other occasions. This particular two-piece item can also be worn throughout spring and well into summer, perhaps even into Fall and winter if worn appropriately. I will be rocking the pieces more often this season and you can expect to see just how I mix and match.
