Pamper Yourself

With the pay-it-forward and giving attitude that amplifies around the holiday season, it can be difficult to remember to take care of yourself. Small things like not having enough time to shave before a big party to not knowing which gifts to get for who before you run out of time can be stressful, even if it doesn’t feel like it’s taking a toll on you. Plus, it can often be difficult to find some down time in our extremely busy lives. So, who has time to relax much these days? If you’re on a busy schedule like I am, you probably have to force yourself to make the time.

The quickest way to pamper yourself is by relaxing at home. You don’t need to get ready to go anywhere, you don’t need to pay for a spa membership and you can take as much time as you need, want or your busy schedule allows. I always try to make time at least once per week to pamper myself. Stress and toxins from the week can take a toll on your mind, body, skin and even hair over time if you aren’t careful. Relaxing is one of the easiest ways to reduce stress and tension in your body and the plus side is that there is no correct way to relax. Everyone has their own ways of relaxing and doing what makes them feel comfortable.

For me, taking the time out of the week to take care of my skin, hair and nails is very relaxing. I don’t like the feeling of having hair on my legs, so I shave every single day and sometimes I just don’t have the time to put lotion on every time I shave. This is where  Shaveworks comes into play. Shaveworks products are all specifically designed to target different problems you may be facing with your skin.

For instance, their oil based shave cream helps keep your skin smooth and healthy with each shave. Since its oil-based, there’s no need to apply lotion after you shave when you shave with the Shaveworks oil shave cream. This is actually one of my favorite Shaveworks product so far. It’s so easy to apply – not messy at all and it definitely leaves my skin feeling smooth immediately after every shave.

Shaveworks also has a cooling gel for skin that needs a little help with ingrown hairs or if your skin is a little sensitive to the rough touch of a razor. The cooling gel feels tingly and cold as soon as it comes on. I tried this gel immediately after shaving and I would recommend using this gel a couple of hours after shaving or even the next day. I guarantee you’ll feel this working as soon as you apply it to your skin.

If you’re big into lotion and keeping your skin feeling hydrated, props to you! The Shaveworks lotion is unscented and quenches your skin all while reducing the appearance of hairs. So, if you’re a little on the lazy side or you can’t afford to shave your legs every day due to skin irritation, this lotion may just be for you!
