Prestige skincare products Developed for men. Borrowed by Women.
This past Saturday I had the opportunity to talk with Anthony, founder of Anthony Brands, about his skin care line as well as Shaveworks – a line dedicated to shaving. Nordstrom at Northpark mall in Dallas, Tx hosted a meet and greet event where men and women had the opportunity to get a mini facial and try out the products from Anthony’s skincare line. Although mostly men were getting mini facials, the tagline of the brand still stood out – “Developed for men. Borrowed by Women.”
So, how do women use men’s skin care products?
“The same way they use women’s products,” noted Anthony as he motioned towards the facial station. A man sat patiently waiting for his esthetician as a cool green mask covered his face. Even men use face masks!
Well, what’s the difference between men’s and women’s skin care products? Should we really be using separate facial products? “when you think about it, men’s skin is a lot tougher to get through,” Anthony mentioned, so the product has to be able to be absorbed by the skin and “women like to use [Anthony products] because the product is easily absorbed by the skin.”
The conclusion? You need to try out this men’s skincare line. Gift it to your dad, uncle, husband or boyfriend and then “borrow” it indefinitely.
