Florals are a great pattern for spring and summer, especially when you want to spice up your wardrobe. Florals can be an easy fix and throw on for some, but sometimes patterns can look too over-used if you only wear them a certain way. In this post, I'm exploring how to wear florals two different ways, especially since the weather can still be a bit tricky in the spring time; There'll be a cool breeze one day and it'll be 80 degrees the next.
For those cool days
When you want to wear your florals, but the wind is just not giving you a break. You can still rock those florals! Try pairing a floral top, like the one I'm wearing, with your favorite pair of blue denim and a pair of light colored booties. Just fold over denim at the ankle and have a bit of skin showing between your denim and booties. This makes the booties look less fall/winter and more springy and fun. Now all you need on this breezy day is something to cover your shoulders and keep your arms warm. I paired my outfit with my favorite cream colored cardigan, it was just the right amount of coverage that I needed to stay warm enough on a cool spring day and to look springy at the same time. If you're not into cardigans or need to dress up the look a little more, try throwing on your favorite blazer, just make sure it matches the booties you're wearing or your outfit might look a bit off.
For those warmer days
Wearing florals in warmer weather is easy. You can just throw it on with your favorite denim and go. But, try doing something a bit different than you would normally. I kept my denim rolled up at the ankles and instead of completing my outfit with a pair of booties, I opted for my favorite espadrilles. Complete your look by pairing it with your favorite jewelry and hairstyle for a more put-together look.
