At this point we are a couple of weeks into fall and I’d say that we’re starting to feel it here in Texas! The chilly weather has definitely showed up and less people are wearing shorts and tees out than before. So, what do you do if you’re on a budget and don’t want to buy a bunch of new fall items? You recycle your spring and summer clothes, of course!!
I’ve recycled my spring shirtdress here by adding a pair of fun tights, a denim jacket and some booties. You can try this out with pretty much any of your spring or summer dresses. I’ve been seeing a lot of bright colors this fall, such as lime, hot pink and even fuchsia. So, if you’ve got any of those colors in your closet don’t be afraid to bring them out.
In this particular post I’ve decided to bring my spring florals into the fall season. Bringing your spring or summer florals into fall or autumn can be kind of tricky and you don’t want to over-do it. I think it works with this Kimchi Blue shirtdress, because the base color of the dress is red, which is a color that is already incorporated into fall items, and the floral pattern isn’t too bright or show-y. The small flowers don’t scream spring right away, especially not with a pair of booties, some tights and a denim jacket.
