There are two exciting things about Texas summers coming to an end:
One, the heat will surely come to an end! and two, fall is on it's way in!
Sure, fall is my favorite season, but there's just something about summer that can make it just as equally appealing as fall. For example, laying out by the pool or beach, pool parties, sipping ice cold drinks while you listen to your favorite bands play mid-July, meeting tourists, etc....
With that being said, I've been trying to wear some pieces I have in my closet that don't really scream fall. Like the yellow floral top that I'm wearing in the above photos. Sure, yellow can be a fall color, but something this bright with florals should be kept safe for summer and maybe even spring.
This yellow top is actually one of my favorite tops. It's just so comfortable, and it has clasps beneath the straps to tuck your bra straps into so that they don't show while you're wearing the top. How cool is that? Since the top ranges with various colors, you can pair it with a light gray, and maybe even a periwinkle or aqua colored cardigan. Since it's way too hot in Texas to wear anything but sleeveless tops, I chose not to pair it with any cardigans or blazers this time. I'll save that look for spring!
Since the top is so bright, you might want to try pairing it with neutral accessories. I chose my brown Coach bag and my nude/pink espadrilles.
What's your favorite summer go-to look??
