San Antonio has been on my bucket list ever since I moved to Texas back in 2011 and I can finally cross it off my list! We spent just a night in the busy city, but I think it was adequate. The one day we spent there was enough to see the river walk, the Alamo and a couple small museums within the city.
When we first arrived, it was already late in the day, so we decided to head on over to the riverwalk and have dinner. It was so crowded that I was actually impressed with how no one had fallen into the river by accident. The crowds of people squirmed between restaurants and the river, and we waited about 2 hours just to get some food. The riverwalk was pretty at night, though. Just don't go when you're very hungry and cranky.
The next day we got up early and headed over to the tourist attractions, of course. The riverwalk during the day was also pretty and rather empty in the morning. Everyone must've still been asleep after hitting the bars the night before. The Alamo was the next thing on the list and it was just as expected, but nevertheless still great to see. The gardens on the inside were gorgeous, too.
